I’ve been in the window treatment business since 2000, I have worked with thousands of customers, and one thing that many clients struggle with is selection of color. My advise, unless you are working in an isolated room in which you want to create a theme, say a children’s bedroom, etc, then stay with neutral tones. In many cases windows might represent 50% to 70% of the entire wall surface, doing a fun color might seem like a great idea, however, as color trends change you might find it difficult to decorate around that forest green cellular shade. Leave pops of color to throw pillows, area rugs, vase’s, or any other easy to switch out decor. Neutral tones keep the space lighter and brighter while making the space feel more spacious.
